Santiago Loa

Santiago Loa, 61, was called by the Lord on February 18, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador & Rafaela Loa; siblings, Maria Elena (+Juan Rene) Garza, Salvador Loa Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Placida Loa; children, Santiago (Amanda) Loa Jr., Claudia Y. (Carlos) Garcia, Cristina Y. (Rony) Martinez; 6 grandchildren, Joaquin Loa, Angel Loa, Regina Garcia, Yahir Garcia, Noel Garcia, Lua Martinez; siblings, Juan Antonio (Carmen) Loa, Maricela Jasso, Rafael (Juanita) Loa, Ana Bertha (Benito) Saldaña, Ricardo (Roxana) Loa, Rosalinda (Miguel) Sotelo; best friend, Ricardo Reyna, numerous other relatives and friends.

Santiago was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. He was a very humble and hard working man. He enjoyed traveling with his family and enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing and camping. He enjoyed very much watching his favorite soccer team "Las Aguilas de America" as he was a true fan of the team ever since he was young. Santiago was a very caring man to his wife as well as to many other people around him. He will be dearly missed not only by his family but also by those who knew him well.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Nuestra Señora Del Rosario Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession departs at 9:00 a.m.

Cremation will be held at a later date.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
