Nicanor Martinez

Nicanor Martinez, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his daughter, Raymunda Morales.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Maria S. Salinas Martinez; children, Jose A. Martinez, Alfredo Martinez, Benjamin (Agueda) Martinez, Marcelino (Claudia) Martinez, Nemecio (Martha) Martinez, Estela Villafranca, Andrea Killgo, Marisela Martinez, Maria (Rudy) Luna, Carmen (Ruben) Gutierrez, and  Rosalba (Simplicio) Chapa.  He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held  from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 7;00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Procession will be held immediately after to Santo Niño Catholic Church, where a mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Raymundo Morales Jr., Marcelo Martinez, Angel Villafranca, Ramiro Rodriguez, Jose Martinez Jr., Eduardo Martinez, and Adrian Martinez.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
