Mario Antonio Renteria

Mario A. Renteria Sr. passed away in peace on Monday, May 11, 2020 at a local hospital at the age of 79 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian Renteria and Maria de Jesus Gonzalez.

He was a lifetime resident of Laredo, Texas which he will be missed by plenty of great friends and relatives including his childhood friend of 65 years Juan Paz Sr. and his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mario A. Renteria Jr. (Idalia Romero), Diana Renteria, Raquel R. Samaniego, Sandra Renteria, Sylvia R. Godina (Lorenzo C. Godina III), and Patricia R. Cruz (Roberto Cruz);siblings, Irma R. Cantero, Manuela Renteria and Juanita Toscano. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was an amazing person of those who knew him and most of all we want give a special thank you to Candelaria Ramirez and Oscar Ramirez (Claudia) who were by his side with loving support of his special needs.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Procession would be held immediately after to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Cremation will be held at a later date.
