Manuel Alonzo Sr., 91, was born on February 13, 1930 in Marlin, Texas. Mr. Alonzo was called by the Lord on April 16, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Eduardo & Angelita B. Alonzo; sons; Miguel Alonzo & Rudy Alonzo; siblings: Santos (Jesus) Rodriguez, Francisco Alonzo, Eduardo Alonzo & wife, Jose (Lydia) Alonzo and Jose Maria (Florinda) Alonzo.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Vicenta Hernández de Alonzo, children: Frances A. (Ernie) Ayala, Manuel (Rosa) Alonzo Jr., Alejandro (Ana) Alonzo, Osevio Alonzo, Iris Ashpaugh, Ernesto (Kay) Alonzo, Lupe (Joe) Alvarez, Mary Lou (Scott) Harer, Joe (Beth) Alonzo, Adrian (Erika) Alonzo, Anita Alonzo (Ana Lisa) Duvall, Angelica Dominguez, Joel Balleza, Rosa (Jesus) Garcia & Margarita Alonzo, siblings: Maria Alonzo (+Teofilo) de Estevis, Juan (Ludivina) Alonzo & Daniel (Maria) Alonzo, daughters in law: Irene Alonzo & Leticia Alonzo, sister in law, Francisca Alonzo, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession departs at 9:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be: Alejandro Alonzo, Ernesto Alonzo, Joe Alonzo, Johnny Hernandez- Alonzo, Francisco Alonzo, & Jesus Garcia.
Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
