Julia Martinez, 96, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Julian Martinez and her sons, Juan Manuel and Cruz Martinez.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Julian (Deborah) Martinez Jr., Elvira Martinez, Yolanda (Carlos) Martinez, Rosalinda (+Raymond) Valadez, Jose Luis Martinez, Leticia Martinez, 22 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021, from the funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession departs at 8:30 a.m.
Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Fernando Martinez, Danny Martinez, Michael Martinez, Julian Martinez, III., Franco Martinez, Jorge Martinez, Higinio Martinez, Alex Ray Valadez.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering. Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
