Jose Ricardo Ramos

José Ricardo Ramos entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Jose is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Maria Sepulveda; father, Jose S. Ramos.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Margarita Ramos; daughters, Sonia (Raul) Reyna, Elsa (Gilbert) Ramos-Romayor, Ana (Angel) Castaneda, and Sandra Ramos; grandchildren, Marina Reyna, Raul Reyna, Monica Reyna, Rachel Uribe, Allison Castañeda, and Adam Castañeda; sister-in-law, Isabel Lara; sibings, Maria Rodriguez and Nazario Ramos, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Jose was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He was a retired employee with El Metro transit, he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed spending Sundays by his barbecue pit. One of his many hobbies included welding and coin collecting. The family would like to thank the professionals at Laredo Medical Center and Laredo Specialty Hospital who provided loving care throughout his stay.

The family will receive condolences Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Gamez and Sons Funeral and Cremation services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop. A vigil for the deceased will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Monday October 28, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. from funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m.

Rite of committal and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Raul Reyna, Gilberto Romayor, Angel Castaneda, Fernando Turrubiates, Jose Juarez, Carlos Barrios, José Javier Lara, and Ricardo Ballesteros.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
