Jose Leon Gomez

Jose Leon Gomez, 86 yrs., was called by the Lord on October 6, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Julio Gomez, Maria del Rosario Gomez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Diamantina Gomez; children, Maria Socorro Gomez, Jose Miguel Gomez, Juan (Antonia) Gomez, Jose Leon (Juanita) Gomez, Virginia (Octavio) Gavilanes, Alfredo (Patricia) Gomez, Minerva Elizabeth (Ricardo) Gaona, Ervey Gomez, Claudia Angelica Garcia; 25 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Genoveva (Rosa) Gomez, Jose Ausencion (Eulalia) Gomez, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be celebrated at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. where a chapel service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Procession will depart at 10:00 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if the funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
