Vincent Chavez

Vincent Chavez, age 92, entered eternal rest on June 17, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hortencia Chavez; his parents, Pascacio and Anastacia Chavez; and his siblings, Calletana Chavez, John Chavez, Jesus Chavez, Anita Leal, Consuelo Garcia, and Aurora Hernandez.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Blanca Scola; his son, Vincent R. (Susan M.) Chavez Jr.; his grandchildren, Victoria Martinez, Jessica Chavez, Vincent Tyson Chavez, Eric Brandon Chavez, Ryan Michael Chavez, Chad Peterson, and Ken Peterson; and his great-grandchildren, Alyssa Chavez, Navin Chavez, Ksenija Chavez, Viera Chavez, Elina Chavez, Alexa Chavez, Arielle Chavez, Santino K. Chavez, Nicolino T. Chavez, Jasmine Sinclair, Jeremy Rodriguez, Aubrey Gonzalez, Jailyn Gonzalez, Isabella Martinez, Mirabel Martinez, and Paloma Eve Peterson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services from 5 PM to 9 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. 

Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 25, 2026 beginning at 7 AM. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 AM to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.

Interment will follow to the City Of Laredo Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by the Laughlin Air Force Base Military Honors Guard and American Legion Post 59.
