Rogelio Carrera, 65, was called by the Lord on January 30, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Cesario & Anita Carrera and bothers: Humberto, Cesar, Francisco, Santana & Luis Carrera.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Monica (Rene) Guerrero, Rogelio Carrera Jr. & Cesar Rogelio Carrera, 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings: Hilda Garza, Larry Carrera, Ana Maria (Carlos) Solis, Irma Carrera, Blanca (Tom) Moore, Sandra Arambula, Estela (Miguel) Hernandez, Humberto Carrera, Eliza (Gabriel) Bolaos, twin brother, Ruben Carrera, & Fernando Carrera, sisters in law: Maria C. Carrera & Alma Carrera, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, from the funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church where a mass will commence at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home doors opens at 7:00 a.m., departure will follow at 8:30 a.m.
Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering. Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
