Robert Michael Ortiz, 66, was called by the Lord on December 21, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. He was a fanatical Marine, with a knack for making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Ortiz, mother, Bertha Ortiz, and sister, Leticia Ortiz.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Robert M. (Cecilia) Ortiz Jr, Jessica (Joey) Finley, Michael Kirkland, Joshua Ortiz, Cassandra Ortiz, Melissa Ortiz, Pablo Martinez, Tony Martinez, Blas Martinez, Jackie Ortiz, and Makayla Ortiz, brothers: John (Amie) Ortiz, Richard (Jenny) Ortiz, sister: Angie (Enrique) Garcia, many beloved grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, December 24, 2017, from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a Liturgical Service will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. Funeral services are under the arrangements of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
