Porfirio Guevara Jr.

Porfirio Guevara Jr., 87, passed away on November 29, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Porfirio Guevara Jr., & Hortencia Guevara; children, Daniel Guevara, Ricardo Guevara, Jose Angel Guevara.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maria del Pilar Guevara; children, David (Magdalena) Guevara, Rosa Maria Guevara, Nora (Anselmo) Garza, Norma (Ricardo) Ruiz, Alicia Moncivais, Marisela Guevara; 19 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; siblings, Guadalupe (Julia) Guevara, Jose (Elena) Guevara, Jesus (+Eva) Guevara, Esperanza Lira, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020, from the funeral home to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Funeral home doors open at 7:00 a.m. and a procession departs at 8:00 a.m.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity (90 people) at a time. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn. Similar or more stringent guidelines are likely applicable at the church and cemetery.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are the following: Daniel Guevara, David Guevara Jr., Javier Guevara, Anselmo Garza Jr., Arnold Garza, Ricardo Ruiz Jr., Ricardo Moncivais, Alberto Carillo Jr.
