Pedro Zapata

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Pedro Zapata, 59, who was born on January 5, 1967, in Laredo, Texas, and passed away on September 22, 2026, in Denver, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Juan and Elena Zapata.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved son, Peter "Ace" Zapata; cherished grandsons, Daniel and James; sisters, Lourdes, Carmen, Elena, and Margarita; as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, extended family members, and friends.

Pedro will always be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing him, sharing special moments with him, and being a part of his life. He had a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter and joy to those around him. His kindness, warmth, and laughter touched the lives of many, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Liturgical Service will commence at 10:30 a.m. The funeral procession will depart at 12:00 noon for Laredo City Cemetery, where a graveside service and interment will be held at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Pedro was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and the beautiful memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace, forever reunited with his beloved parents.
