He is preceded in death by his siblings, Alfredo Melendez Jr.; maternal grandparents, Miguel & Ruth Castillo.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mirella Moreno-Castillo; children, Miguel Angel (Samantha) Castillo Jr., Dagoberto Castillo, Fernando Castillo, Kassandra Castillo, Annayellie Castillo; grandchildren, Karahlynn, Kaelynn, Janelly, Miguel III, Chanel, Dagoberto, Miguel Jr., Misael, Jacob; mother; Linda Castillo; step children, Rayven Avalos, Humberto Gonzalez Jr., Gabriel Avalos; step grandchildren, Adalynn, Marilynn; siblings, Ruth Angelica (Julio) Gonzalez, Erik Castillo, Angelica (Julio) Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5 to 9pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7pm

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 7 to 10:30am, where a Chapel Service will be held at 9:30am. 

We will depart the funeral home chapel at 10:30am to the City of Laredo Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:45am.
