Mario E. Martinez, 89, was called by the Lord on February 26, 2021.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ma. Trinidad Martinez, children: Laura Leticia (Salvador) Rodriguez, Norma (Martin) Aguirre, Isaias (Cynthia) Salazar, Mario E. Martinez, Jorge A. Martinez & Isabel (Ivan Santos) Martinez, 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Jorge Martinez, Mario Martinez, Ivan Santos, Isaias Salazar, Salvador Rodriguez & Juan Garza.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Visitations will continue on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Gamez and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a liturgy will be held at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession departs at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
