Maria G. "Cuqie" Medina

Maria G. “Cuqie” Medina, 92, was called by the Lord on January 6, 2019 surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Gregoria R. and Eliseo Gutierrez, husband Pedro L. Medina, sister Ofelia Martinez, son-in-law Raymond E. Medellin, Sr., grandson, Raymond E. Medellin, Jr., and great grandson Raymond E. Medellin III.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Laura (Francisco) Medellin, Raul (Jamie Wilson) Medina from St. Louis, MO, 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, other family and friends.

Family would like to express utmost gratitude to Dr. Gilberto Garza Lozano & Staff, Dr. Benson Huang & Tammy Trevino & Staff.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Christ the King Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Cremation services will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Raul Medina, Nicholas N. Medellin, Richard T. Medellin, Dennis B. Medellin, Gilberto G. Serna, Sr., Francisco G. Medellin and Honorary Pallbearer are: Gilberto G. Serna, Jr., Isaac Martinez, Jr., Alberto V. Martinez, and Gerardo Martinez.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
