Maria del Refugio Veloz, 81, passed away on December 26, 2020 in Laredo, Texas

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Alicia Hernandez; parents, Antonio & Guadalupe Soto.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Pilar Veloz; children, Virginia (Rafael) Ambriz, Maria de Lourdes Veloz, Dora Elia (Maldonado), Veronica (Jesus) Rivas, Rosa Maria Veloz, Laura (Alberto) Garcia, Jose Pilar (Maria) Veloz, Juan Javier (Renee) Veloz; 27 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; siblings, Ramona Soto, Miguel Soto, Juanita Elizondo, Daniel (Martha) Sanchez, numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from the funeral home to Santo Niño Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Procession departs at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if occupancy levels are met.
