Manuel Velazquez Gonzalez known as Cadena, 64, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Austin, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Apolonio Velazquez & Paula Leija; grandson, Ivan Rodriguez Jr.; one granddaughter; siblings, Concepcion Velazquez, Maria Santos Velazquez, Juan Velazquez Gonzalez, Javier Leija; stepfather, Limon Leija.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Jaqueline Velazquez Santos; children, Mirna Valle (Anael), Minerva Bentley (Fernando), Sylvia Muñiz (Jaime), Mireya Velazquez, Lizabeth Velazquez (Dude), Manuel Velazquez Jr.; 21 grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Velazquez, Dolores Velazquez, Maribel Leija, Guadalupe Leija, Arturo Leija; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 5 to 9pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 7 to 11am at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Chapel Service will be held at 10am.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fernando Bentley, Jaime Muñiz, Anael Valle, Lucio Cornejo, Kevin Cornejo, Bryan Muñiz, Fernando Bentley Jr., Valentin De La Cruz, and Mireya Velasquez.
