Juana Solis

Juana Solis, 84, was called by the Lord on February 22, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Solis; son, Esteban Solis; parents, Andres & Juana Ortiz; siblings, Jacinto Ortiz, Geronimo Ortiz, Epifanio Ortiz.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mario (Sylvia) Solis, Marisela Solis, Eugenio Solis, Estela (Pedro) Flores, Veronica Solis (Teresa Hinojosa); 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Victor (Georgina) Ortiz, Valentin Ortiz, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Santo Niño Catholic Church, mass time is pending. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
