Jose D. Zapata, 84, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Santos Zapata & Maria Calzada; numerous siblings.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife over 55 years of marriage, Juana Zapata; children, Margarita Zapata, Jose D. Zapata, Luz Ayala (Miguel), Maria Elena Zapata, Juan Antonio Zapata, Consuelo Zapata, Adela Vasquez & Juan Ramos; 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1 to 4pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Rosary & Liturgy of the Word will be held at 2:30pm.
All services will conclude at the funeral home chapel. Cremation will be held at a later date.
