Jose Luis Avila

On Friday, July 25, 2025, God called Jose Luis Avila Esquivel to his loving presence at the age of 80, in Ciudad Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Jose Luis was born on February 4, 1945 in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Guillermina Menchaca de Avila; children: Leonardo Avila, Martha Avila, Mariana Avila, Luis Carlos Avila; grandchildren: Cristina Jimenez, Jesus Jimenez, Cesar Garcia, Rebecca Garcia, Naomi Avila, Sylvia Avila, Kathy Avila, Alexandria Avila, Michael Avila, Gabriela Avila, Frankie Avila, Oscar Avila; great-grandchildren: Isaac Gomez, Joseph Jimenez, Ethan Jimenez, Andy Ritcher, Adeline Ritcher, Aiden Ritcher, Daniela Avila; siblings: Olga Avila, Irene Avila, Fernando Avila, Irma Avila, Dora Avila, Tencha Avila as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Liturgy of the Word and Rosary will be offered at 6 pm.

A cremation will follow at a later date.
