Jorge Alberto Pacheco, 49, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona.
His remains will be laid to rest in his hometown of Laredo, Texas where he was born and raised. He was a charismatic individual whose laughter was contagious. A person whose family was the cornerstone of his heart. He always looked at the brighter side of life and brought joy and humor to his loved ones. Gone before his time, yet a valuable lesson left behind as to not forget to find joy in the littlest of things despite tragedies and how making someone laugh can truly make a difference in a person’s life. He would be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose V. Pacheco; mother, Oralia Pacheco; brother, Luis Roberto Pacheco; grandfather, Ventura Pacheco; and grandmother, Petra Flores Pacheco.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Paula Betancourt, of 28 years; daughter, Samantha Lee Pacheco (Edwin) Ramos; grandchildren, Allison Lee and Carlos Ramos; siblings, Jose (Sylvia) Pacheco, Petra Pacheco (Arturo Yepez), Benito B. (Sonia) Pacheco, Luisa Pacheco, Julio C. (Sylvia) Pacheco, and Marco A. Pacheco. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles, numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Cremation will be held at a later date.
In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering. Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
