Joey Santos

Joey Lee Santos, 36, was called home by the Lord to be by his mother's side on Saturday July 2, 2022.

Joey was born in Laredo, TX on January 03, 1986 where he was a lifelong resident and a Cigarroa High School Graduate class of 2004. He is preceded in death by his mother Alma Letty Santos.

He is survived by his father Joel Santos whom he looked up to as an exemplary role-model, his sister Melissa Lynn (Antonio "Tony") Hurtado whom he protected and supported always, his nephews whom he loved as his own, Antonio "Tony" Hurtado, Jr., and Gael Hurtado.

To cherish his memory are his God-Daughters Kassandra "Kassy" Martinez, Rilynn Martinez, cousins whom he loved as if they were his siblings, his aunts, uncles, grandmother, and numerous relatives and friends.

Joey will always be remembered by his kind heart and gentle smile. He was known for helping others when in need. He enjoyed working on his race truck & Camaro, traveling with his family and barbecuing where he was a participant in numerous cook off challenges.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 07, 2022, at Gamez & Sons Funeral Home located 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, TX 78043 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. where a vigil for the deceased and rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral procession will depart at 10 am from Gamez & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, July 08, 2022, to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church, 2710 Boulanger St, Laredo, TX 78043, where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Memorial of Gardens Perpetual Care Cemetery Family Plot located off HWY 359 in Laredo, TX.
