Jesus Javier "Pollo" Melendez, 65, was called by the Lord on August 14, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe Albertano Melendez Sr. & Carmen Melendez, wife, Rosa A. Melendez, siblings: San Juanita (Alberto) Alvarez, Rosie Mejia, & Felipe Albertano Melendez Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jesus Javier (Diana) Melendez Jr., Elizabeth Marie (Raul) Sanchez, Juan Miguel (Frank) Miranda, & Jaime Joel Melendez, grandchildren: Krystal Vianney Melendez, Jesus Javier Melendez III, Raul Jesus Sanchez, Trishelle Kathleen Sanchez, & Daniel Joshua Sanchez, great-granddaughter, Adriana Vianney "Nana" Santos, brothers: Jose (Noelia) Melendez & Felipe de Jesus Melendez, sisters: Maria (Matias) Villafranca, Ernestina Melendez, Maria del Rosario (Antonio) Espinoza, Graciela Melendez, sister in law, Maria Melendez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will gather on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:00 am on Thursday, August 18, 2022 to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass to be celebrated at 8:30 am.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Raul Jesus Sanchez, Daniel Joshua Sanchez, Jesus Javier Melendez III, Jesus Melendez Jr., Juan Miguel Miranda, Jaime Joel Melendez, Felix Melendez, & Nico Salinas.
