Javier C. "Flaco" Melve, 78, passed away on Sunday, October 05, 2025, in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death are his sons, Javier Melve Jr., Miguel Melve; parents, Jesus & Micaela Melve; siblings, Gloria Cruz (Reymundo), Hector Melve.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lamar Melve; children, Hector Melve (Mary Espinoza), Jackie Lara (Jay Lara); granchildren, Sabrina & Julissa N. Melve, Thomas J. & Diego Lara, & Amy, Miguel, & Omaro Melve, numerous great-granchidlren; siblings, Calixto Melve (Arabela), Aida Davila (+Joe), Jorge Melve (Ann), Graciela Melve, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5 to 9pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be held at 7pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 7 to 9:30am at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where we will be departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30am to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass at 10am.

All services will conclude at the church. Cremation will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Hector Melve, Jorge Melve, Hector Maciel, Jay Lara, Pedro "Goyo" Landeros, Fidel Maciel, Reymundo Cruz Jr., David Maciel & Fernando "Pini" Gonzalez.

Honarary pallbearers will be: Thomas J. Lara, David Maciel, Miguel Melve, & Omaro Melve..
