Irene G. Maranto

Irene Guadalupe Maranto, 89, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Maranto is preceded in death by her husband, Rafael Maranto; parents, Francisco & Sara Montalvo; siblings, Angelica Montalvo, Rene (Elida) Montalvo, Silvia (Ismael) Villarreal, Juan Francisco Montalvo.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Maria Luisa (+Carlos) Hernandez, Rafael (Sonia) Maranto, Norma Maranto; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister in law, Maria Montalvo; nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a prayer service will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Cremation will be held at a later date.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry
