Hubert "Hubie" Ruiz

Hubert "Hubie" Ruiz, 54, was called by the Lord on September 18, 2021.

Hubert "Hubie" Ruiz was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, godfather, and friend.  He was born on May 31, 1967 in the City of Chicago Heights Illinois, and graduated in Laredo from United High School where he was a quarterback for their football team.  He was a very simple man with the belief in God, his Country and being fair with everyone he helped.  He was a member of the Cotulla Lodge #892 with a Master Mason, Scottish Rite Mason, Knight of Saint Andrew.  Offices he held was Chaplin and Senior Deacon.  He worked as a Police Officer in Mexico for the PGR, and later became a Reserved Constable PCT #4 and on 1995 he became Owner of R&R Private Security Services with 28 years in service till current. He was also a member for The Associated Security Services and Investigator of the State of Texas for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Consuelo Ruiz & his aunt, Maria Luisa Mendez; father in law, Juan Carlos Valdez.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Eliza Valdez Ruiz, his daughter, Louisa Rachel Ruiz, father, Eugenio Martitiano Ruiz, siblings: Adrian Ruiz (Nayeli), Ignacio Rios (San Juanita), & Maria de la Luz Rios, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 12:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from the funeral home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church where a mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Procession departs at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at the Laredo City Cemetery.
