In Loving Memory of Herlinda Montiel
November 26, 1930 - May 26, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Herlinda Montiel, who was called home on May 26, 2025, at the beautiful age of 94.
Born on November 26, 1930, Herlinda was a woman whose love knew no limits. She was the quiet strength behind her family, the comforting presence we all turned to, and the gentle soul whose prayers carried us through life's joys and struggles. Her legacy is one of faith, resilience, and unconditional love.
She was welcomed into eternity by her beloved husband, Anastacio "Ney" Montiel, her dear son Joe Montiel, and her precious daughter Maria Elena Montiel-a heavenly reunion surely filled with joy.
Herlinda leaves behind a family who adored her and will forever carry her in their hearts:
Anastacio Montiel, Ernesto Montiel (Bertha Montiel), Jorge Montiel (Dolores Montiel), Gerardo Montiel, Sarita Montiel, Norma Aguilar (David Treviño), Victor Montiel (Gabriela Montiel), Roxanne Ybarra (Eric Ybarra), Leslie Sandoval (Daniel Sandoval) and her daughter in law Angelina Montiel.
She was lovingly surrounded by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved great-great-granddaughter, Kali Sandoval, who brought joy to her heart in her final months of life
Herlinda hands were never empty-always reaching to serve, comfort, and embrace. Her words were filled with wisdom, her laughter a healing balm, and her home a sanctuary of love. She had a way of making each person feel special, seen, and loved.
A special thank you goes to her faithful and lifelong hair stylist, Chelo, for the years of care, trust, and friendship that brought light into Herlinda life.
