Germanico Mendiola, 82, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Austin, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe C. Mendiola; parents, Jose Maria & Maria Luisa Mendiola Muñoz; siblings, Luis S. Mendiola, Enrique Mendiola, Hugo Mendiola.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Irene Mendiola (Michael) Pelak, Germanico Mendiola Jr., Luis Sergio Mendiola (Olga Salazar-Mendiola); 8 grandchildren; siblings, Jesus Mendiola, Jose Ma. Mendiola, Mario Mendiola, Javier Mendiola.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 5 to 9pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be held at 7pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 7 to 9:30am at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where we will be departing the funeral home chapel to Christ the King Cathoilc Church for a Mass at 10am.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Germanico Mendiola Jr., Luis Mendiola, Michael Pelak, Ricardo Salinas, Frank Cavazos, and Ramiro Elizondo.
