Mrs. Emilia C. de la Garza, 76, went to her eternal sleep on November 11, 2023, one day shy of her birthday.

She was born on November 12, 1946, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Guadalupe and Cruz de la Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings: Norma de la Garza Barrientos, Guadalupe de la Garza Jr., Bernardo de la Garza; grandson: Jesse Garcia.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband: Pedro Medellin; children: Melissa Jimenez, Roxanna Jimenez Ramirez (Javier), Debora Jimenez (Samuel Barraza), Antonio Alberto Jimenez Jr. (Nora Jean), Jonathan Pierre Medellin (Brenda Contreras), Kimberly Sue Medellin; grandchildren: Christopher Garcia, Aaron Davalos, Agassi Ramirez, Anahi Ramirez, Jacob Daniel Gomez (Melissa Lopez), Joshua Christian Jimenez, Jaime Jose Gomez III, Alysia Gomez, Anissa Jimenez, Antonio Alberto Jimenez III, Andrew Jimenez, Avery Jimenez, Mia Angenette Medellin, Jonathan Medellin Jr., Jayden Alexis Medellin; great-grandchildren: Ryan Alvaro Lopez, Kal-el Alexander Jimenez, Aubrey Rose Lopez, Justin Cole Lopez; siblings: Cecilia de la Garza Tellez, Alma Lopez, Guadalupe de la Garza, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services.

All services will conclude at the end of the visitation and a cremation will be held at a later date.
