Domingo Cortez

Domingo Cortez, 69, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Cortez is preceded in death by his parents, Maria & Norberto Cortez; son, Domingo Cortez Jr.; siblings, Bertha Cortez, Josefina Cortez, Eric Cortez, and Ruben Cortez.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Carmen Cortez; children, Alejandro Cortez, Joanna Cortez, Silvia (Carlos) Tovar de Verino, Andrew Cortez; siblings, Rosa Cortez, Norberto Cortez Jr., Amparo Cortez, Norma Cortez, Olga Cortez, Lily Cortez, Jorge Cortez, and Esther Cortez; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a chapel service will be held at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will follow immediately to the Laredo City Cemetery where a graveside service will recite at 1:15 p.m.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
