Delia G. Garcia

Delia G. Garcia, 81, passed away on May 1, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco C. Garcia; daughter, Alma Delia Veliz; parents, Romulo and Maria Luisa Garza and brother, Jonas Garza.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Nemesio (Lorraine) Garcia, Martina (Feliciano III) Gamez, Adriana (Ricardo) Olivares, Francisco Garcia, Raquel Garcia, Claudia Garcia, Sonia Aime (Javier) Onofre and Sergio Garcia, son-in-law, Gregorio Veliz, 33 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; brother, Refugio (Cruz) Garza; sister-in-law, Walkiria Garza, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 4, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a Divine Mercy Chaplet will be sung at 7:00 p.m.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 25 percent occupancy capacity (45 people) at a time. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn. Similar or more stringent guidelines are likely applicable at the church and cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, from the funeral home to Nuestra Señora del Rosario Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m. and a procession departs at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at the City of Laredo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Nemesio Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Feliciano Gamez III, Feliciano Gamez IV, Jose Javier Onofre, Gregorio Veliz, Jose Javier Onofre Jr., Sergio Garcia, and Sergio Garcia Jr.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
