Cruz Lopez, 79, passed away on July 23, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Lopez is preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo & Hortencia Moreno; husband, Candelario Lopez; children, Rene Lopez, Martin Lopez, Ricardo Lopez, Gerardo Lopez, Carlos Lopez, Ricardo Lopez; grandchildren, Flor Estrella Lopez, Isabel Pena; siblings, Alicia Corona, Jose Gilberto Moreno.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Candelario (Mary) Lopez Jr., Oralia (Abel) Pena, Gloria (Martin) Garcia, Gilberto Lopez, Norma (Antonio) Teneyuque, Diana Lopez (Tomas Barrera), Javier (Maria) Lopez, Sandra (Oswaldo) Flores, Erica (Michael) Gonzalez; 38 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren; siblings, San Juana (Guadalupe) Navarro, Rebecca Elias, Ramiro (Thelma) Moreno, Ruben Moreno, Alonzo Moreno, numerous other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 departing at 8:30 a.m to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church where a mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
