Carmen A. Lara

Carmen A. Lara, 85, passed away on November 23, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jose Luis Lara; parents, Eugenio & Carmen Almendariz; siblings, Esperanza Garcia, Eugenio Almendariz, Hemeregildo Almendariz.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Tomas M. Lara; children, Tomas (Rosario) Lara Jr., Rosa Maria (Magdaleno) Palacios, Rodolfo (+Sylvia) Lara, Maria Concepcion Lara, Roberto (Maria Teresa) Lara, Juan Manuel (Maria) Lara, Maria Eugenia Lara (Ricardo Camacho), Marco Antonio (Diana) Lara, Israel (Rocio) Lara, Maria Elena (Ricardo) Vela, Gilberto (Beatriz) Lara; 39 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; sister, Enriqueta Cardenas, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from the funeral home to San Jose Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home doors open at 7:00 a.m. and a procession departs at 8:30 a.m.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity (90 people) at a time. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn. Similar or more stringent guidelines are likely applicable at the church and cemetery.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
