Alicia Gutierrez
January 23, 1940 — May 6, 2016
On Friday May 6th, 2016 our beloved Alicia “Licha” Gutierrez, was called to be with the Lord. Our beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in law, sister, aunt and friend is the strongest woman we have ever known. Her selfless acts, courage, hard work and independence were admired by all. She truly believed in God’s plan, “que sea lo que Dios quiera”; “todas las cosas caen en su lugar” Her contagious smile and her wittiness were like no other.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jose Gutierrez, son, Lucio Gutierrez, sister, Juany Montemayor, and brother, Francisco Montemayor.
The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, May 8, 2016, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, at Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am
