Alicia Benavides, 65, was called home to her Father in Heaven on November 30, 2022. She was born in Laredo, Texas on February 25, 1957 to Pablo and Victoria Cruz Saldaña. She is now welcomed in heaven by her parents; siblings: Pablo (Gloria) Saldaña Jr., Juan (Leticia) Saldaña.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband: Jose Hilario Benavides; children: Hector (Amelia) Lopez, Araceli Lopez, Valerie (Fernando Guerra) Benavides; grandchildren: Noemi (Juan Gallegos) Lopez, Alberto (Darianne) Lopez; great-grandchildren: Jayden Ozzy Sanchez, Kelly Rae Gallegos, Kelsey Odette Gallegos, Justin Isaiah Gallegos, Victoria Isabel Lopez; siblings: Laura (Juan Leonardo +) Saenz, Roberto (Sara) Saldaña, Alonzo Saldaña, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funerals and Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be held at 7 pm.
Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 8:45 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 to St. Josephs Catholic Church, where a mass will be celebrated at 9:15 am.
Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ramon Alberto Cantu, Alberto Cantu, Luis Galvan, Rene Perez, Edmundo Reyes, Juan Saldaña Jr., Lorenzo Aron Saldaña Jr., Pablo Saldaña III.
