Alejandro G. "El Chupis/El Pecas" Briones, 61, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Briones is preceded in death by his parents, Bartolo and Dora P. Briones; siblings, Roberto (Lucila+) Briones, Bartolo Briones Jr., and Rachel Contreras.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Griselda Briones; sons, Alejandro Briones Jr., Bartolo Briones; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Dora Bertha (Jose M.+) Medellin, Diana Olga (Ricardo+)Hernandez, Rosalinda (Antonio+) Mirela, Myrna (Joe) Palacios, Javier (Mary) Briones, and Gabriel (Veronica) Briones. Mr. Briones is also survived by his sis-in-law, Cristina Briones; brother-in-law, Jesse Contreras, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 13, 2021, from the funeral home to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Procession departs at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Briones, Javier Briones, Alejandro Briones Jr., Oscar Medellin, Alfredo Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez Jr., Joel Ortiz, and Victor Ortiz.
