Francisco Javier Gonzalez, 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Josefina Lazaro.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Leonor S. Gonzalez; children, Wendy (Jose O.) Perez, Elizabeth B. (Eddie) Valdez, Francisco J. Gonzalez Jr., Cesar Gonzalez, Leonor (Carlos)  Martinez, Maribel (Marco A.) Melecio, Melinda Gonzalez Omar I. (Sandra) Gonzalez, and Moises (Rosa E.) Gonzalez; siblings, Leticia Lazaro, Cesar Lazaro, Armando Lazaro, Elsa Perez, and Rosa Perez. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to Santo Niño Catholic Church, where a mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Francisco Javier Gonzalez Jr., Omar Gonzalez Jr., Israel Perez, Marcos A. Melecio Jr., Moises Gonzalez Jr., Eddie Valdez Jr., Carlos Martinez, and Luis Solis.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
