Paula I. ZapataJuly 25, 1971 ~ November 30, 2017 (age 46)
Paula I. Ramon Zapata, was called by the Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2017. She was 46 years old.
She was born in Nuevo Laredo and spent most of her life in Hebbronville and Laredo, Texas. She received her education from United High School, Laredo Junior College and TAMIU. She was an elementary school teacher for 23 years. It was a career she had dreamt of since she was a young child that was sadly cut short by cancer. For the last four years she had been fighting that disease with treatments in San Antonio, TX, and the family is very grateful for the extra years we had her with us. She was always feeding stray dogs and cats --even the birds that fell from their nest. Her favorite was the grey cat who would sit by the door and wait for her. Paula will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Manuel Zapata, daughters, Victoria and Daniella Zapata, mother Maria Ramon, brother, Severo Ramon Jr. and sisters, Lupita and Julie Ramon, sisters-in-law: Teresa Treviño, and Cristina Kaiser, brothers-in-law: Juan Treviño and James Kaiser, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
